The Goodfellows Project is a collaboration between The Jonesboro Sun and the Jonesboro Jaycees. The Sun raises funds through donations and the Jaycees administer the project.

As always, we encourage donors to consult their tax professional. With that said, donations are sent in for the Goodfellows Project to the Jonesboro Sun. The Sun documents these for inclusion in the donation box that is run in the newspaper. The donations are collected and sent to the Jonesboro Jaycees Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization (EIN: 46-4344498). Donations made to the Goodfellows Project are tax deductible.

In order for donors to deduct the donation from their taxes, they must file a Form 1040 and itemize the deduction on Schedule A. Further, they must retain a copy of their bank statement that includes that donation OR written communication from the Jonesboro Jaycees Foundation that includes the following: Organization name, date of contribution, and amount of contribution. If the donation is $250 or more, the letter must specify that the donor received no goods or services in exchange for the donation.

You can donate to Goodfellows by sending a check to:
